What to expect in Community Acupuncture...
When you arrive you may notice people receiving acupuncture or relaxing in the community room after their acupuncturist has provided treatment.
Please sign in and have a seat in the waiting area.
Before each treatment in the community room, you will briefly meet with your acupuncturist privately to discuss your care. On your first visit *,
your acupuncturist will spend a few more minutes with you to evaluate your condition. **
Use this time to express any thoughts or concerns you may have. As a courtesy to others, we like to keep talking to a minimum in the community room. ***
After meeting with your acupuncturist, you will be seated in our relaxing lounge chairs in the community room and treatment begins! For the next 30 minutes, unwind to the sounds of water and music as your Qi
begins to flow. Plan to spend a total of 45 minutes with us.
We strongly encourage all patients to come for private acupuncture on their first visit, even if they wish to continue
their care in a community setting. This allows the time for a
more thorough health history, evaluation, and treatment plan.
Not all conditions can be treated as effectively in a community
setting as in a private setting. Your acupuncturist may advise you that private acupuncture treatments would be more appropriate for your condition.
Groups who have reserved an exclusive community session may
choose to talk. The room is yours.
